What should i write about for a writing contest?

well, i want to enter in a writing contest. it's like a short fiction story contest which has to be at least 500 words long. but i dont know what to write about. any suggesstions? and if you would give me some ideas on how to begin or how the story should be like that would be great! thaks alot!

  1. write on war of Iraq & Afganistan  where US & other soliger died much more but US Govt not show how much soliger died every day


  2. I think that writing about not being too hard on teenagers/adolocents because we are having lot's of trouble finding who we are would be nice.  

  3. There's not a lot you can do with only 500 words, so keep it simple. What you write about depends on the type of contest. Is it for a lit magazine? A genre? Does it require an entry fee? Do you know how to format a story so it gets accepted? How many other writers will you compete against, and what age? Older writers put together more complicated plots than young people. If the contest has certain rules, you need to follow them, as well. Good luck!
