  1. Mardy's notepad advice is good.  Also many writers find an interesting news item and write a story around it.  Look at "giant asteroid on collision course with the earth" became "Deep Impact" and "Armageddon".  Or "daughter and boyfriend killed her parents" became "American Beauty".  If you want some quick ideas search "story idea generator" on yahoo and you'll get some fun sites like:

  2. Here, I'll give you ideas and you can fit the ones you like into a story:

    1. A guy and a girl are in love, but they can't be together because everyone else is against it. Like, their families or gangs or school cliques are at war with each other or one is too old for the other or whatever.

    2. Someone who is loved by everyone is murdered and no one knows why. Could be an innocent child, a popular teen, a community leader, a teacher, a celebrity, a sweet old woman everyone in town knows. How was the person killed, whodunit and why?

    3. A horrible disease starts killing people everywhere. A few survive somehow. How does society get started again?

    4. A puppy is adopted by a family that is very happy to have it, but the puppy doesn't understand. It only knows that is misses its mama and its brothers and sisters. How does the family make the puppy understand that they are its new home and family?

    5. A girl hates everything. She thinks her parents are stupid, her brother is nasty, school is boring and life is lame. She decides to run away in search of adventure. She ends up in a bad part of town and some criminals take her. What happens next?

  3. Some tips I've read about would be:

Stick to what you know best.

And, carry around a notebook or something or a pad&pen and walk around for a week. When you see or hear something that inspires you, write it down. Or if you think about something, write it down. After a week, pick what you can use and incorporate it into a story.

  4. the whole point in writing is to think of this stuff on your own.

i could see if you need help with little ideas, but "I need ideas plot, detail, names, ages, events, location, etc."....

that's a whole book, and i'm too busy to write it for you.

    good luck =]
