Question:

What should my 400m time be?

I haven't run the 400 in an extremely long time, and I often wonder what it should be. My 800 time is 2:36.75 on F.A.T.(fully automatic timing), my 200 time is about 29.00, and my 400 Hurdles time is 75-something. Can anyone estimate my 400 time? Also, are my other times decent for a female high school senior? Any input is appreciated:)

  1. im sure you could run under 70s. but since you havent ran it just try your best and see what happens. anything under 60 is really good and the 60s is also pretty good.

  2. hm well i think you can run definitely under 70 seconds for the 400.. i think you could run a 60 if you trained specifically for it...

and i think your times are pretty decent, they won't take you to state but you could be somewhat competitive

by the way some of these people answering are r-tards. you could definitely run under a 75.

    i'm a girl (freshman)

my best 400 this year is a 64 (on 4x400 team)

    open 800: 2:30 flat

  3. maximun 3:00 mins

  4. hiiii! sorry, no absolutely NOTHING about running, just answering coz it sent me an email telling me 2 (coz ur my fwend lol)!!

  5. Your times aren't the best for a senior, but certainly not the worst! I would have to say around 64-67 range. Your best event is the 8 but if you can run faster than a 64 then the 4 might be. Also, you intermediate time isn't too bad either.

  6. um your 400 would be at about 1:15 at an estimate.

and to be completely honest with you if your a highschool senior and your running a 29.00 200 that's not very good. When your a senior you should running your best. State qualifying times for those events are

    400-1:03

    800-2:29

I dont know the state qualifers for the 400m hurdles.

  7. hm idk

im in jh track and im a girl

and my best is a 67. with no training. and now were trying to bring it down to 63-60 sec

  8. Well, if your 400 meter hurdle time is 75 then I expect that your 400 meter time will be pretty fast. If you consisently keep up that 29 second 200 than you will probably get 1 minute to 1 minute and 5 seconds. That is a great 400 hurdle time! Good Luck! I hope you do great!

  9. Based just on math. I would say about 60 seconds.

However I have very little running experience to back that up haha. I did some googling and anything between 55-60 seems normal.

    Does that seem right?

  10. like 1:10 trust me.
