I am majoring in biology for pre-pharmacy but i dont know what concentration would be best... I can pick out of these

Mircrobiology/Molecular Biology;

Ecology, Environmental, and Evolutionary Biology;

Organismal and Integrated Biology

Which one would best fit this if it even matters? thanks very much.

Eric.

  1. Any of those would be fine for pre-pham, since you mainly need to take the pre-pharmacy classes. So pick the one that interests you most, and that could make for a career that you like in case you change your mind about pharmacy.

  2. Hi,

    If you want to be a pharmacist, you may be better off taking micro/molec bio, or organismal/integrated bio.  Eco/Envi/Evol won't really help you much.

    Does it matter?  I'd say it does, you want to take something that'll set you up for the harder courses in pharmacy.  I'd make the same choices if you want to apply to medicine or dentistry as well.
