What should my friend do with his girlfriend?

about 2months ago he decided to move in with his girlfriend to california from arizona, she insisted since he would visit her alot..

he didnt think too well about his decision, and he isnt happy living in arizona the fact that he has family and friends in arizona..

lately shes been acting very rude and seems to be getting mad for EVERYTHING, he wants to leave and move back to AZ but he was telling me that everytime he trys her emotions get to her, she used to cut herself and and WAS EMO, everytime he decide to leave she threatens to cut herself or even worse and starts crying.

HE DOESNT WANT TO LEAVE BECAUSE HE DOESNT WANT HER HURTING HERSELF, BUT HE ISNT HAPPY

He can't feel responsible for her actions!  He should leave if she does something stupid it was because she has mental issues!

your friend needs to have a talk with her she seriously needs to stop reacting like that its immature and not needed if she continues when he really trys to sit down and talk to her and she won't listen theres nothing else he can do... she may need to see a counselor about her issues and he needs to move on with his life

Although i appreciate your friends dilemma it is impossible to fix someone else. His girlfriend is in need of proffesional help. He really can't stay with a person because he is scared what she may do this will just lead to resentment on his part and false hope on her part (as he will almost certainly leave her at some point) the fact is he isn't responsilbil for her actions he should advise her to see her doctor and go back to arizona.

ive been there,its not easy but the only thing you can do is leave.he is probably co-dependant like me.you cant" fix" people.

im so sorry. that's hard. he should like call somebody to come and help her. however, relationships are not about the other person. they're about you. so tell him, if he wants to leave then he should leave. and probably break up with her. tell him to leave and like make sure a friend of hers will come to the house later that night just to comfort her and keep her rational. good luck!
