my grandma has this friend who lives with another lady who is controlling her. she says she can't visit her friends, or other things. what should my grandma tell her?

Tell your grandmother to report this to Office of the Aging. Call Social Services as there is a department for seniors just as there is child protective serices.

This happens often with seniors. They are neglected and abused by caretakers.
