So I am going to be a high school freshmen this year, and I am not taking any sports after school because I want to get a feel of how much homework I have to handel. So when I come home with a load of homework should I just take hour break then do it? Or should I do it first thing when I get home?

  1. Well you should do it in moderation. Do some homework and break every so often, that way your not so worn out afterwards, and not so relaxed you won't wanna do it. I would say Start off with it, then break occasionally until it's all done!

  2. 1 eat if ur hungry

    2 do ur easy homework

    3 do ur harder homework

    4 do whatever u want

  3. i do my first thing when i get home so its done and i dont have to worry about. and dont let homework keep you form getting involved in sports and other activities. you wont have as much homework as you think and its been my experience that practices dont last terribly long.

  4. i would get it done first so you have time to do stuff later and you don't forget

  5. im gonna be a freshman too, what i'd do is take a 15 min break to rest yr brain then start yr homework

  6. I graduated high school two years ago. I always came home and ate first thing. Then, I would focus on my homework and I got it done and over with so I had time to whatever the h**l I wanted. High school is not as bad as you probably think it is LET ALONE THE HOMEWORK. Don't worry, you wont get tons of homework. You'll probably get at least 2-3 classes' homework everyday and you probably have 6 periods, right? I wish I was still in school... that's how fun it is. =)

  7. It depends on if you're the type of person to keep procrastinating. I think you should pick a time to do it and stick to it, even set an alarm if you have to.

Say you get home at 3. Set an alarm for 4:30.  Then listen to music or eat or watch Oprah or jump on the trampoline or whatever.  But when the alarm goes off, do it.

If that doesn't work and you keep putting it off, then do it as soon as you get home so you're in school mode still.

If you still find yourself not getting work done, stay after school and do it in the computer lab or the library if possible.  It's easiest for me to do  work away from home, where there are not possible distractions.

Try to find what works best for you.

    Good luck, have fun.

  8. First of all, use all your opportunites to get homework done in school. Don't use study times to chat or do useless computer stuff. That will save you a lot of time at home.

Take some kind of break when you get home, and eat a snack that has some protein in it, like milk or peanut butter, so your brain won't fizzle out. Try not to put off the most difficult things. Late at night is not a good time to have to figure out math problems or read the last 200 pages of a boring book.

If you're not a procrastinator, you'll develop a routine that works well. If you are, better get started early and keep working!
