  1. Well there are obviously only two moves that make any sence here d6 and na6(nc7+ is the threat).

    Let's start of with d6

d6 is a logical move that stops white's knight from coming to either c7 or d6 and allows black to castle. So from a stratigic point it is a solid move. Now lets looks at tactics.

    9.                 d6

    10a. e5?     dxe5?

    11a. Bxe5  Na6(only move that dosen't loose matirial)

    10.b e5?     Nh5!

    11b. exd6  nxf4

12b. dxe7 qxe7(and black looks beter, with the strong bishop on b7 and the strong night which can eventually hop to d5)

(other then 10. e5 white really dosen't have any threats, as the position looks aproximatly equal after castle)

Now lets look at Na6: Stratigicly this move looks fairly bad the night protects the c7 square yet gives up the d6 scquare, the night may eventually jump to c7 yet will take some effort on blacks part, while white can keep developing and cripple. Now lets look at tactics.

    9.                Na6

    10. 0-0        rc8

    11. a3         0-0 (black is still far from freeing his bad knight while white will quickly develop, white looks to have a segnificant edvandage).

    10a.nd6+ bxd6

    11a.Bxd6 ng8

12a.0-0 nd7(black will castle on his next move)

    Conclusion:

    9.     d6 obviously looks like the better move do to the first variation of 9.      na6 looking awfull for black. After 9.     d6 the game looks fairly equel and may contenue somthing like

    9.           d6

10.0-0   0-0 with aproximate equality if 10. e5 is played black should play 10b. Nh5 and have a very good game.

  2. e5 Nc7 H14 left lateral hail mary, lkjf56 sorry im a smart @$$

  3. You should play 9....d6 to stop white planting a piece on the d6 square.

Then a possible plan (depending on white's play) would be a6 (to kick the knight), 0-0 (king safety), and Nc6 (complete development) with good play.

  4. 9...d6 prevents 10. Nc7 ,the threat of White invading on the c7 square, thus forking you with a double attack on your rook and check, whereby you would lose the exchange after 10...Kf8 (10...Qc7?? 11. Bc7 and White has a completely won game).

After 9...d6, expect more pressure to come in the center, probably by 10. e5. But if White plays passively with 10. O-O, then you gain a tempo and should castle 10...O-O.

  5. Telling you would be cheating.
