I had my stance width set at 21''. These seem to be the boards default holes. They were set on the farthest holes to the front and to the back. I then set the stance to 20'' because the original felt a little wide. By doing so I had to either put the front binding back an inch or put the back binding up an inch there are no 1/2'' adjustments on both. So I put the back binding back an inch and have a setback of 2'' now. Did I do this correct or should I have put the back binding up an inch? I mainly carve but would soon like to start park riding. Also getting back to stance width my shoulders measure 20'' across from end to end and I was told to stand up straight and measure from floor to the middle of my knee cap and that measures 20'' also. I can move the back binding up 1'' but it would be 19'' width with 1'' setback. if im looking to get better carving and soon get into park riding with jumps should I have a setback or not. I want a good all around setting

  1. If you're just nailing jumps, it's okay, but it might be a little awkward.  Rails and boxes...not so cool.  Having yourself centered over your board will help with your balance when riding on different jibs and different parts of your board.  But if you are just going to stick with jumps, it's okay, but it might be a little awkward.

So, my suggestion is to shift that stance up towards your nose a bit.

  2. Having your bindings set back is a good thing for powder riding because it'll put less weight over the nose of the board so it can float and shred through it better.

In the park you want your weight to be centered to make rails and grinds easier so it might have some issues there and you might want to center them.
