My twin girls Ashlyn and Neesa are 6 days old. In about two weeks, we're going to my family reunion. That will be like their first big appearance and I need help deciding on what shirts they should wear(they're going to be wearing jeans for pants). Here they are(also, ignore the sizes, we have shirts that say the same thing, but in their size):

Which t-shirt should they wear(we have two of each so they will both wear which ever one you pick.)?

Thanks!

  1. 3 I love kids humored t's

  2. ummm 2 weeks and 6 days? they're not porcelain dolls they CAN leave the house lol. Anyway, back to your question.. I like all of them and they're all adorable but the first one is great! it answers All the questions you're going to get 100 times, especially at a family reunion. That is a real time saver! good luck with your babies and the family reunion. I'm sure you'll make a great mommy!

  3. For the person that said they are not porcelain dolls, they are not.  But they should NO be around that many people so early.  My twins are 6 months old and they made their "debut" at 2 months as recommended by their doctor.  They are just too many germs and you are going to be in a place where you are not in control of the environment... It is just NOT a good idea.

That being said.  I just LOVE #1!!  It answers all the questions that they are going to ask, you might be okay giving details at first but, believe me, it will get old SOON.  I actually going to buy these for my girls too, thanks for the idea!!

  4. I personally like #1 and #4.

And for heaven's sake - take the kids out!

Not that you asked anyone here for permission.  Taking our twins out has saved our sanity!  And they love it!  We took them to my mother's retirement party at 2 weeks of age and they did just great.

Across town or across the country...  We've really found that daily outings are great for everyone - from early on.  As for out of state, at 2 1/2 months we flew for the first time with them.  At 5 months we drove 600 miles with them.  At 13 months we took them to Alaska (from the midwest).

    enjoy!

  5. There's nothing wrong with taking them out. I have took my twins out in the first few days home and they've only gotten sick once and they'renow 6 months!

I love # 1 !!!! believe me you get asked it all the time and get very tired of answering it so use it!

  6. First of all congrats!

Second of all: Don't put them in jeans. They're newborn and this is way uncomfortable for their sensitive, soft skin. Put them is something soft and snug.

Third of all: Plan this visit carefully. 3 weeks is very young for a big day out and chances are that this will be very overwhelming for them and there will be a lot of tears. Honestly, around that age mine got overwhelmed by a trip to the super market.

Good luck and whatever you plan with your babies (be it clothes or visits or whatever), put yourself in their shoes. Keep in mind that they're very, very small and very vulnerable at this stage.

  7. My twins were really little at 2 weeks old, so we had to get preemie onsies. We found these two that were perfect size. They said "If you think I'm cute you should see my twin"

Anyway, back to your question. I like #4

Have fun and bring hand sanitizer ;)

  8. I like #4  -  it's "pun"ny and will be a conversation starter for all the questions that #1 answers, but I'm sure you will enjoy talking about anyway (people are going to ask regardless!)  Womb-mates implies that while they were both gestating at the same time and were born on the same day, they are completely unique individuals just like other siblings not born on the same day, as opposed to DNA replicas of each other.

  9. I liked #1 and #5 . I believe you only asked for opinions on shirts not how you should be raising your children. my first i kept hidden in the house lol but with my second we had her out and about from day one. its not cold out (at least not here) and again here its not flu season.

  10. I would go with 3 or 4, some people might find the first 2 quite cheeky or rude.

  11. you do realize they should not be leaving the house that early right? Nor should they be around that many germs.. im not trying to be negative but i thnk you should wait before you take them out....
