I am a busser and it is required at the restaurant I work at to tip out your busser at the end of the shift and I know for a fact that some of my "crappy servers" That have made way over 30ish in tips are only tiping me out like 2 bucks even when I have done a great job pre-bussing and helping them out. so what is the average percentage. Thanks

  1. I get paid hourly and make tips so in a 4 hour shift on a weekend night I make close to what a server will make, it just depends, we consider the cheapasses the ones who tip 2 or 3 bucks on a weekend night. Doesn't bother me much I just dont clean their tables.  The good ones tip us between 10 and 15 bucks so it makes up for the cheapo's

  2. i am a dishwasher/busser i buss tables on sudays at the resturant i work at, last week between the two servers we had i got $13 over a 3hour shift plus my $4.25/hour minimum wage, so if you calculate it in i made a little over $8/hour. thats what it should average out to on a busy day and as long as you do a good job, my servers are giving me like 10-20% depending on how busy we are,  how good i do, and how long my shift is
