  1. Give the umps a good kick up the **** and tell them to stop giving away soft frees, all it does is slow down and trivialise the game that we love.

  2. What about if it hits the post and still goes through the goals - it is a goal. It is in every other team sport like soccer, league and union.

Don't know about kicking backwards - I don't like it but it will just mean teams know they don't have to mark players behind the kicker. The problem is they don't go man-on-man.

  3. Head high contact and reverse umpires bad decisions. E.g Damian Freaking Sulley's pathetic bounce which won the Roos the game.

Sharma, the only reason Collingwood travels only 4 times a year is because all the Victorian clubs want to play them so they can get money from the gate takings. All the interstate clubs have to travel on alternate weeks so they have the same amount of home matches and away matches

  4. I think everyone should just leave everything the way it is. its all good.

  5. this is a really really good question mate

i reakon teams shouldnt be allowed to waste time like umm not alloewd two consecutive backwards kicks inside 50

and umm teams shouldnt be able to tank (*cough *Carlton *cough) the afl should like record what is being said in the coaches box and keep it private and like review it every week

  6. Make the home and away draw fair for all clubs

Hawthorn and geelong last played in round 4 last year and don't play for a couple of weeks in the mean time the Hawks have played other clubs 4 times

I'm sure this situation has happened to other clubs

The AFL must stop manipulating the draw for the sake of the almighty dollar

NAB Cup just a game in Cairns so the fans up here can watch some top grade footy

  7. They definatly need to look at this head high contact thing. There has been a lot of inconsistency with the outcome from the match review panel this year in this regard.

The hands in the back rule is another thing that really needs to be reviewed. Surely at AFL level, umpires can determine what is a deliberate push. We have seen some terrific marks given away for free kicks because of this rule and it's a terrible shame. Imagine what marks might not have made history if this rule had existed years ago!

They also need to look at whether their points system is working. They should probably also look at what occurances on ground are considered "unfair" enough to deem players ineligible for Brownlow contention.

  8. I have a suggestion for the NAB cup, pi$$ it off, it's useless and a waste of footy time.

Extend the season, make every one play each other twice, you would think the money hungry machine that is the AFL would jump at this, the players association would  try to stop it but our comp is a joke, it's uneven,  the ladder is not a true indication of what it should be, vic teams should all travel and play the other sides at their home grounds, it's ridiculous.   only then would we have a true final 8 that deserve to be there.

  9. I think the priority and draft picks system needs to be overhauled so bottom teams aren't rewarded for performing badly, and higher teams have an inscentive for doing well, even if they don't make finals.

Also, the hands in the back rule needs to be changed because it punishes people for trying to stop their opponents.

  10. I think  Andrew Demetriou should get the boot AND tasmania should get the 17TH team not the gold coast!! MOST Queenlanders  dont even like AFL.

  11. no suggestions on nab cub sorry.

but they shouldnt be so protective over sydney players i call them "protective territory" eg. adam goodes - no weeks, barry hall - 7 weeks. i hate it!!

especially when the two new teams come in .. besides draft picksm.. thats nessary, but protecting them from the tribanal is stupied.

    EDIT:

more traveling for collingwood they get off scott free!

think it was only 5 max. a year games outside victoria. compared to 11 or 12 its unfair!

  12. No rule changes!!. I would like to see at some time a game (maybe the nab cup) without the superstars, with the stars of the future from their respective teams instead. ie each team in the nab cup must have a certain %age if the team each game who have played less than 25 AFL matches?? May make it a little more exciting with these young guys desperate to show what they have got. We all know the result of nab cup means very little in terms of the rest of the season.

  13. BLOODY NOTHIN' UMP!!!

Just enforce the rules that are there.  I am so sick and tired of experimental rules.  Let's just play football that can be compared to the good ol day's of Jezza, KB and Polly.  What would some of those guys make of these fairy rules?  What about Cap'n Blood?  He'd be crying in his boots.

Let's leave it alone for a year!!

  14. I honestly believe the the AFL should at least change their attitude in 2009 as to how they perceive COLLINGWOOD.   The Magpies are the jewel in the AFL crown, even considering  what many media outlets JOKE about, their BUM supporters filling seats at blockbuster games week after week .   Collingwood are always up there, which means they  rarely get the opportunity to pick up any draft picks from 1 to 5 .  The AFL have "awarded"Carlton, after a President  cheated the system, and  now have Walker, Murphy,Gibbs and Kruiser all No 1 picks while recruiting Judd the comps best player, who was a No 2 pick.  Collingwood have ONE no1, Josh Fraser who they selected 8 years ago, while Carlton have another President stand down for dubious reasons .  Collingwood President Eddie McGuire can only be  condemend for being "everywhere", and he recruited a CEO who Carlton later "stole" .Surely if you have a Ferrari in your driveway you would maintain it, to assist what it could "pick up" for you , however the AFL dont consider Collingwood as an asset to maintain, seemingly happy to take the Dollars they make, even if they become a worn out "rust bucket".

  15. I love all the experimental rules in the nab cup Iike the idea about if you kick the ball backwards it's not a mark and how about if you kick a goal from the centre square it's 12 Pt's I would like to see, if it is a mark and a free at the same time its a 50 metre penalty
