What should the Pistons do?

If you are a Detroit Pistons fan I want to know what you would like to see them do to get better. Do you want them to break up the core and if so, who would you want to see go or stay? Would you be ok with going at it more more year with these same players?

  1. As a Piston's fan I have supported the Pistons for a long time. You are right they need to make a move to improve the team, but breaking up the core I don't think will do it. Sheed, Tayshaun, Rip, and Billups have the greatest chemistry I have ever seen. I think they should sign or trade for a center. Antonio just does not cut it when it comes to a center that fits our style. Or we could grab a good 6th man that good split the time with McDyss.

  2. I don't think they'll change their roster much.  Well, in the recent drafts, we can see that the Pistons are trying to get replacement for their all-star starters.  They've already gotten quite a few players with potential to start (Rodney Stuckey, Jason Maxiell, etc.)  I personally believe these young players will be played a lot more next year, but still starting the currrent starters.  Thus, by the time Billups, Wallace and co. are going to retire, these young players can take their spots and be ready.

As for coaching, I don't know if they've hired a new coach yet, but it should be an offensive coach, because their defense is already pretty solid (their past few coaches were mostly defensive-minded).

    I hope this helps.

  3. givw it up

  4. I say we give it on more season and then break up the core four. After this upcoming season get rid of billups and maybe resign wallace if he played to his full potential the season before. We keep rip TP and Stuckey. We will have stuckey at point. We then need to sign a young center or PF and let Jason maxiel be a starter . It might be a mistake but each year they dont make the finals they get older. Yes my favorite team is detroit.Rasheed is my favorite player.

  5. i want it to stay. they have the team of a championship, but they were good to get rid ofthe coach. they can go to the finals now

  6. i wouldnt b mad if we came back wit the core, actually i kinda hope we do tht jus to see how they do wit a new coach and if they cant win a championship next yr. then i say ship sheed or billups. hamilton is the most consistent and prince is a good younger player so i think we should keep them. i would b happy if we jus got one good player in exchange for both of them (preferably a big man) cuz we got stuckey who is gonna b great. or we could try and make some money to sign bosh or boozer wen they become free agents. i think the pistons r goin downhill but not way downhill. i still think theyll stay in the playoff picture for atleast 5 more yrs.
