  1. Greg Zaun has already stated that he wouldn't mind leaving Toronto. Since the Florida Marlins are desperate for catching help, they may be the perfect trade partner.  Zaun could probably fetch a couple of mid-level prospects from the Marlins' deep minor league system. Two that the Jays could use are INF Chris Coghlan and RHP Eulogio de la Cruz.

  2. I really think its time to trade Halliday and here is why.. They have to do something to get on the same level as NY and BOS.. they need to try and do the same thing the rays did.. Build through their farm system.. I dont know what their system is like now, but i know that Roy could bring in 2 or three if not more top prospects

  3. They certainly aren't trading Burnett. I either see them making a deal or giving up players. They could give up Zaun for a few minor league prospects. Zaun is older now and I, wonder how long he has left in him. Florida is looking for a catcher, Zaun would be the perfect fit and Toronto gets a prospect or two. They could make a deal and try for Ramirez but they would have to give up Rios or Wells. So Ramirez isn't the best choice. Toronto could try for Washburn because the Yankees have backed away from Washburn. Washburn could do well with a team that has a good offense.

  4. trade burnett

  5. If the Jays were planning to move Burnett or Halladay, I'm pretty sure they would have already been gone.. I don't think that Jays make any trades, but if they do.. they wont be major.

  6. I would suspect that you will see AJ Burnett leaving in the next 24 hours but other than that I do not see them unloading Roy "The Franchise" Halladay.  They are trying to trade any of the 15 Shortstops that they have as well.  They are more in the market of selling than buying though, they are looking for prospects for their MLB ready talent.

They have said that they were not going to trade Burnett but now you are believing something that Riccardi is saying...you don't tip your hand at the deadline.  Burnett is going to opt out after this season and then they get nothing for him...except maybe a draft pick.

  7. They'll give up Marco Scutaro, since a couple of teams are looking for a shortstop.

Also, I don't think Toronto should be in all sell mode this year, because when you look at the wildcard, they're only about 6.5 games back, which is somewhat manageable if they keep playing well.

  8. Halladay says he loves being in Toronto and didnt they say Burnett will not be traded either

i think Greg Zaun can and will be moved before thursday..hes not happy there because they cut down his playing time and alott there arent many teams who can say they dont need a catcher (LA Dodgers, Minnesota)

I could see Zaun going, maybe Stair or Rolen too..

  9. maybe a roy because they said aj is not going to be traded.you can get a mlb player and a couple propects with roy if you trade him
