Question:

What should the attendants wear to the barbeque the next day??

Okay, so I know I just asked about what I should wear to the barbecue that's the day after my wedding ceremony, but i completely forgot to ask about my attendants!

I plan on having them in something that's a little more fun like this:

Would it be appropriate for them to still wear their dresses the next day to the barbecue?? I kinda feel bad if they spend the $ for the bridesmaids dress and shoes and then only wear the dress for a couple hours and for only a handful of people to see. I would let them decide as a group, but if it was me I'd want to wear it one more day.

  1. I wouldn't have them dress up for a back yard bbq.. be casual and have a good time

  2. They should wear clothes the same color as the BBQ sauce...

  3. I am not sure about a "party" dress for a BBQ.  You may want to think about giving them all wear those  "Bridesmaid" Tshirts that are so popular for bachelorette parties and rehearsals.

  4. I'd say go casual

  5. Sureley your paying for your bridesmaids dresses? So paying for more dresses for the next day seems a bit expensive. Also asking your bridal party to buy their own dresses for your day and for the next day bbq seems odd also.

You should just say i'm having a semi formal bbq the next day please bring a nice outfit.

  6. There's no way I would want attendants to wear the dressy wedding clothes to a barbecue. They could easily be ruined. Let them wear what they would like to be comfortable. A barbecue is a very casual affair. Let them relax!

  7. they should wear what they feel like wearing.  don't be a BBQ n**i!

as long as you look the prettiest, who cares?  right :)

  8. Let them just wear their own comfy clothes, suitable to the weather and location.

  9. ??  After an evening of dancing and sweating do you really think you'd want to wear the same smelly dress again?  I know I sure wouldn't.

The dresses are cute I am sure that they will be able to wear them again, but I would suggest to have them wear whatever they want for the next day barbeque.  (As long as it fits into the dress code.)

  10. I've never heard of a wedding where the bridesmaids pay for their own outfits..

I'd wear something more comfortable than that though, a nice cotton dress, men can wear khakis and a button up cotton shirt?

  11. Let them decide, they may want to wear the dress, but don't force them to.

It's customary where I come from for the bridesmaids to buy there own dresses too.  I've bought every bm dress I've worn and my girls bought theirs.  No big deal.
