In woodshop in school the 8th graders create a company that makes things and sells them to the rest of the school, students and teachers.

What would be a good thing to sell.

Basically anything and it doesnt have to be made of wood.

  1. Lazer engraved placques.  Trophy placques.  I really love the walnut (wood) heart I received at my wedding.  It had my name, husband's name and date of wedding all inside a heart.  Maybe you could sell fences to the neighborhood.  All students could learn how to put up fences.  It's not that hard, except for the poles and I had a professional fence company do that for me for $10 pole.   Maybe you could get the job, subcontract out the poles, and let the class put up the streamers and planks.

Make wood frames with "personalized" engraving on frame (lazer if possible).

Remember, you can "outsource" some of the work (lazer) if you need to.

  2. sell candy bars.  all kids love candy as do their parents and friends
