China prospers because of its political stability and foreign friendly investment environment.

I have heard that Indian services and products are a little more expensive than China. India's strength is the English language. If it can take advantage of that and consistently provide good quality service it can win over China. And it needs to go up the value chain - not just manufacturing, but more high tech stuff such as research, life sciences, nanotechnology, design, innovation, etc.

They already are fighting competition not only from China but from all over the world.They just need to maintain their brandname and unique selling points such as quality etc,.I don't think Chinese companies have established themselves as firmly as Indian companies in any product.
