  1. there is no set answer for this question as depending on how hard the unit works it could be higher or lower.   Most hvac tech check pressure at  compressor which would be the return or low pressure side  and the canister which is the output or high pressure side.  I know from experience that the return tube which is the bigger of the two is usually wrapped in insulation foam and is usually very hot but like I said before,  the temp will usually depend on the load placed on the unit.

    my mistake you were talking air temp  sorry.  should be room temp.


  2. The only temp that can be at the return will be the temp of the air it is drawing in. Room temp.

    If there is as much as an 18 degree difference between the return air and the vent air, it is working great.

  3. 72 degrees.
