What should the world do to stop global warming?

e.g. the leader of every nation should declare tree planting day every month!!!

It doesnt matter it is only when the last tree is cut down, the last drop of water polluted and the last fish caught people will realise you cannot eat money.

The biggest thing we should do is change how we're generating our power.

Most power plants burn fossil fuels, and they're absolute hogs.  They spew CO2 even if the smoke particles are cleaned out nowadays.  There are great stretches of unproductive land in the world like the Canadian Arctic that have nearly constant winds that could could produce tons of power.  Our deserts could house solar power plants.  Once we have more clean power than we could even want, we could begin producing hydrogen for new, clean lines of vehicles too.  The idea is to cap greenhouse gas emissions and give the planet a chance to cool off some.

The only reason this hasn't been taken care of yet is what?..... MONEY!  If you make the pollution fine so high that the business would bomb if they had to pay it, it would stop.  Money is the only thing that people understand anymore, so that's the language we have to speak.

I wonder and wonder all the time why people are not taking this matter seriously !!! Plantation alone is not the solution of the problem. Awareness could possibly warm the people's mind cooly!

there is no such thing as global warming. The earth is not getting any hotter. Lawyer and rich people just keep getting richer by scaring the weak minded people in the U.S. who have nothing better to do with their money and time, except to tell everyone else how to live. The rich pollute more than us regular folks. We don't fly around the world all the time and drive hummers. We can' t send all of our work over seas, most of it already is out sourced to other countries. We can't make China and other countries stop polluting and they are the worst. Volcano's put out more c**p in the air than we could ever do in a life time. My solution is to stop plane from flying on Sundays, Tuesday, and Thursday, Do you remember how clean the air was after 9-11 no plane were flying. California was smog free for a few weeks. It was nice.

It has long been stated that what caused the ice age was volcanic smoke in the air which filtered out the sun light and made things cooler. So alongs comes The E P A and puts in a no burn ban and takes out what smoke that there was in the air letting in more sun light which is making things hotter and letting in more cancer rays, and to compound the problem the things which should have been burned is now rotting and giving off methane gas which causes more global warming. So all we need to do is go back to burning our leaves and trash to stop global warming. Note signs of global warming started with the burn ban.

We cant stop global warming but to protect ourselves from its effect,

We should cut icebergs and keep it in our refrigerators so that it wont melt and create increase in sea level and cause destruction.
