  1. ozone layer thinning is a different phenomenon from greenhouse warming.  Climate change is likely to have a bigger impact, because it manifests in so many ways.  Also, ozone thinning is reasonably well understood, and like acid rain, although not eliminated, has been severely curtailed.  I'm not convinced that man can do much about changes in the climate.

  2. well they r both as important. global warming caused mainly by the greenhouse effect, this could b taken care of much easier than the ozone layer but if one of either becomes better then they will both bcause they r  cause almost by the same things

  3. 1998 was the hottest year since accurate records began in the 1840s, and 10 of the hottest years have occurred during the last 15 years. By examining growth rings from trees and ice cores drilled in Antarctica, scientists have determined that the past decade was the warmest in more than four centuries, and that the current rate of warming is probably unprecedented in at least 10,000 years.

The damage to our environment has already started. For example, sea level has risen from 10-25 centimeters and will continue to rise for centuries even if we stop all global warming emissions immediately. As the world warms, the outlook for all life forms looks bleak, unless we can turn down the heat by reducing concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

  4. Ummmm...don't we have global warming because of the thinning of the ozone layer?  Aren't those concerns one and the same?

  5. we haven had enormous effects of global warming yet so pay attention to ozone layer, which has already depleted.. try and fix the hole... :)
