We are having an "adults only" BBQ this Saturday starting at 4:00 pm. We are providing: Bugers, Dogs, Sausage and Peppers and a few trays of Ziti. We are also providing some Jell-O shots and wine. We are having approx. 50 people coming. They are asking what they should bring.....besides the basic potato salad, I have no idea what else they could bring. Help?!?!?!?!

  1. fruit tray (cut up melons and berries)

    desserts cupcakes or cookies etc

    veggies and dip

    cole slaw

    macoroni salad

    Paper plates/napkins

    Soda diet soda

  2. Chips,Baked Beans,Fruit(watermelon is best in summer), and probably about 2 half barrels

  3. just say what ever or dessert!

  4. alcohol. 50 adults can take down a buttload of jello shots. also a frisbee.

  5. any kind of munchie type foods, chips, veggies, cut up fruit, etc. You could also have someone bring games of some sort to get the group activity together...

  6. lobster, caviar,smoked salmon..................

  7. Some kinds of cold salads, veggies and dip, beverages, dessert or fresh fruit.

  8. oh yea baby tell them to bring some d****s and condoms

  9. We mostly have them bring what ever they think to bring. you might want to suggest side salads like...pasta salad, fruit salad or macaroni salad or maybe a non-salad dish like cole slaw, cut veggies & dip,  baked beans or corn on the cob. Dessert type things like a layer cake, jello type dishes or even a plate of cookies or brownies are fast goers at our backyard gatherings.

  10. Here are some food ideas then you need to make a list of what you want and check them off as people agree

    Foods

    Baked beans

    slaw

a few salads such as green, pasta, cucumber and tomato, veggie, etc.  just watch the dressings.. oil n vinigar is best if in the salad but if on the side you can keep some others in an ice bucket

    corn to grill

    corn bread

    fruit salad or plate

    italian bread

    chips

maybe plain foil wrapped potatoes for those who don't like mayo

    pies

    brownies

    pound cake

and of course... byob on the beer and hard liquer, water, pop

you may want to pick a friend who is really into music to be in charge of that part.

    good luck!

  11. Corn on the cob, deviled eggs, baked beans, condiments.

  12. Beer and ICE. You always need more ice.

  13. salsa or guacamole & chips .... Veggie/dip platters .... green salad ... fruit salad ...  DESSERTS

  14. Don't give them specifics, just say you'd like either a dessert or a side dish. People will come up with ideas on their own, like cole slaw, rice, pasta salad, etc. That way it's not too much of a burden because they can pick their own recipe, etc. Also, people will probably bring things like more wine, or beer if they want it.

  15. Why not have a contest - since you're having some "adult" beverages - tell them to bring all the ingredients for their favorite drink and then you'll have a "Best BBQ Brew" contest.

As far as food - divide your people into 3 groups - have one group bring a hot side ( baked beans, casserole, cheesy potatoes, etc.. ) have one group bring cold side ( potato salad, vegi trays, fresh fruit, etc..) and have one group bring desserts.

I love havin BBQ's like this - have a great time.

  16. casserole, salad, coleslaw, brownies, dessert. soda, appetizers, family favorites, finger foods, chicken wings

  17. Beer. Liquor. Chips. Dip. Guacamole.

The jello shots may run out, =)

Everyone may not like the sour taste of wine.

But everyone is going to want to catch a nice buzz.  =)
