Thinking about buying a new(er) vehicle, wife and I really like the above listed cars...here is the catch, we are willing to spend about $20K on a new(er) car, both of them at that price range are just out of their bumper to bumper warranty. So we'd be getting a nice car, low miles, but old enough that we'd have to buy the extended warranty or just deal with cost of high repairs if something should happen.

  1. none of the above

if you buy either one you'll have endless repair bills and get to know your mechanic or dealership very well.

Audi might be a bit better but the parts and service are terribly expensive.

    don't buy a Saab, Jaguar, or a Land/Range Rover.

Subaru is best for bad roads & wet conditions

  2. Ka Ka. None.

  3. Neither!!!

  4. none you should buy the  http://www.chevrolet.com/silverado/color...

  5. Sounds like you need capability in snow/ice/mud as I hear you talk about the Quattro system. Audis seem to be nice. I wont take anything off them. But if you are comparing capabilities on ice, snow or mud with an LR3, there simply isn't much of a comparison. There is no equal to the full time 4WD, perfect 50/50 split of the LR3 with its award winning terrain response system. Just keep in mind that LR3s come from factory with lousy all season tires that are more geared towards road use. Put some good "All Terrain" tires on there and their capability is at another class all by itself.

I bought an extended Warranty from Ford for around 2k for 100k miles bumper to bumper for my HSE LR3 06. That is one thing I would strongly recommend you do if you deside to go with the LR3.
