We'd like to go to the Caribbean. Should we go on a cruise or just fly into the Virgin Islands and stay for a week?

We'd like to spend under $5,000for the whole thing. Can anyone help me out?!

  2. Cayman Islands

  3. I got married October 2006 in St Thomas, USVI.  It was so beautiful.  It was actually in the middle of our cruise.  We had family on the cruise with us and some just stayed on St. Thomas.  With the cruise you get pampered beyond belief, (we were on Holland America) but you have to pay extra for excursions, tips and drinks.  If you stay at an all inclusive on land everything is included (obviously).  My favorite Island was Half Moon Cay which is a private island, but is part of the Bahamas, which I am assuming would be like the rest of the Bahamian Islands, It had powdery white sand, super clear water and was just amazing!  You really can't go wrong in the Caribbean though! Depending on what you are willing to sacrifice you could make it work for 5,000.  Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

  4. go to aruba....for 5000 you could have a blast...for a really nice room.2000 a person..

  5. Both are good options but we have found that if you want to just chill then fly and stay at a resort.  Crusing is great and does offer nice value but some find it a bit hectic since you must get back on the ship at certain times and some still make you have dinner at certain times.

    Enjoy!

  6. Just Chill !

  7. Fly to Grenada and stay at The Gem Beach Holiday Resort.

Perhaps the most romantic place on the planet  :)  Grenada is one of the last real Caribbean experience that has not been transformed into and Americanized resort-land. Take my advice, you won't regret it at all.
