What should we do in Sydney,Canada with kids? ages 9 and 2. Thanks!?

Kids are age 9 and 2 years old. We are coming on a cruise ship. Thanks for the help!

There are some playgrounds and parks.  You can walk around the town.  You could do a day trip to the fortress at Louisburg if you have time - that is interesting for kids.  There are sights to see along the waterfront - the huge fiddle for one thing, and the marinas and other amenities that have been constructed for the cruise ship industry.  Most likely there will be a ceilidh planned for when you are in port.  If you have time you can drive to Glace Bay to the miner's museum and to Baddeck (about 30 to 40 minutes away) to see the Alexancer Graham Bell museum.  You could drive to North Sydney (quite close by) and see the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal.  The libraries or a museum might be an option, but Sydney is not huge - population is only about 25,000.  Enjoy the cruise.
