if you are female and have around 2 rai of land at the back of "A soldier target range". It is in a Peri urban area of Southern Thailand. And it is in a nice atmosphere. There is a river at the North of the land. It is near a bigest zoo of the town(about 500 metres far). 500 metres from main road and market. But it is at the back of "A shooting range of the soldier". I can't sell it because people afraid of it. I would like to develop that land but there is not enough information. What are choices or suggestion that help me manage that land in a lowest cash input?

  1. Since I live in a military town (3 Navy bases) where all kinds of training goes on with our own and other country's military personnel, I think I can help you with your question.

Assuming the "soldier target range" is owned and operated by your national military, you could first get certification from the site operations officer and pubic relations office that the range is built to specifications that do not put surrounding properties "at risk."  This is something you'll want to present to potential buyers along with contact information so they can follow-up with military personnel once they purchase the property.  You may also want to consider offering to sell the property to the military, as government agencies generally pay quite well for property.

I would also request information as to the height and total width of the range that borders your property.  You'll want to build a berm (hill or wall) of either packed earth (clay) or cement a couple feet higher and wider than those specifications.

The cheapest (as in free and only costing you sweat) way to build an earthen berm is to use the Adobe method the Pueblo Indians of North America created.  I found a site for you that details design/construction and positives/negatives, listed below.

Whichever way you choose, you can easily dress up the berm with fast growing plants and flowers.  You can go on-line to find what flora are natural to the area (read:  won't need tending, watering, fertilizing) and plant those around, in front of, and on the berm.  I did this with my own property and have saved loads of money by not having to pay for fertilizer, re-planting, and watering.

I hope this helps.  Good luck with your property rehab and sale.
