What should we do with young teenagers who start fights aimlessly.

I was just out in a place called seaford with a few friends where a so called party was

A confrontation was started for no reason where a glass bottle was thrown at a friends back. It started with a few guys, and about 5 more came along.

There were around 2/3 years younger than myself (15/16).

We walked away becuase of being outnumbered. Then we were followed, which was followed by punches. Two of my friends now have bleeding faces. We then ran away, and had to drive home quite fast.

We told police officers, and they said to "file a complaint". Why cant these teenagers be dealt with properly by officials? Imprisonment should be applicable for these kinda people!

there needs to be a law passed. when something like you described happens then the bad guys human form should be terminated!!

when i was a kid ,many years ago ,the same questions were asked .things are no different.we just get to hear about more now.im not surei f it the fault of just parents,its the fact that discipline has gone,we are told not to smack our kids,dont shout,and now they can divorce their own parents,the world is at our kids feet,and they know it.the way back is to take control back.

Teach boys boxing in schools and clubs.  Also judo and similar.  What these 'sports' do is to burn up the aggression in the male beast so that when he steps forth on our streets, he's unlikely to be aggressive.

Problem is hardly anyone believes what I say.

In 1957 I joined the Army at age 15 - plenty of aggressive activity including a death defying assault course and all the rest -and you get to throw grenades and fire machine guns.  Aggression all gone in a controlled manner.

But, I'm not saying kids should join the army.  All I'm saying is that we have failed the youth of today by not giving them activities and things to do, such as the boxing etc.

Actually, rather imprison someone for stuff like this, I think we should bring back flogging.

I can guarantee you that these idiots getting 5 lashes would prevent a similar occurrence, and it would not require the expenses of incarcerating them.

Nothing will be done.  When a group of them pulled a knife on my fiancee the police did nothing, just turned up, shrugged and said the most they could do *if* they caught the little sh*ts would be an "ASBO referral".  Fat lot of good that is considering these little b******s consider ASBOs as badges of honour  . . .

If, of course, you were a week or so late taxing your car or were caught doing 36 mph in a 30 mile limit the police would be FAR more enthusiastic about making sure you received "justice" for your "evil crimes" . . .

Personally I would bring in boot camps for these little sh*ts and make them learn a little bit of discipline at the mercy of a 6'6" brick-outhouse drill sergeant who makes their lives h**l.  They might learn that they aren't anywhere near as big and hard as they like to think they are (in fact most of them would be crying for their mummy after about an hour) . . .

They want to fight. OK let them fight. Take them to a stadium keep the public out. give them a weapon of choice and put them in a mob at  one end or the other of the stadium. tell them when the siren goes

they can knock seven bells out of the mob on the other side. The last one living gets a gaol term.
