  1. You have to bring the rubbers

  2. Bring some lysol, spray it on the bed sheets before you get it...it will help kill germs

  3. Pretty much the same things. The hotel will provide towels, soap, sheets, etc. Take your clothes, toiletries & electronic gadgets. Lysol & Fabreeze can't hurt.

  4. Food and snacks, especially if you are staying with small children.  Unless your made of money, you dont want to be dipping into the mini bar :)  Otherwise you are all set really, try to find out if your hotel has a hairdryer or not if you use one.  And if you are uncomfortable sleeping in those sheets, you can bring your own if you want.

  5. i just got back from three weeks in Europe, one day at home, then five days away at a friend's house. I am a packing EXPERT.

So besides the obvious (clothes), you will need your toiletries and whatever you need for a good night's sleep. whatever that entails (a book to read before sleeping, a night light eye cover, ipod and speaker, whatever), the hotel will probably not supply it.

toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, hair ties, razors, makeup, jewelry ( i count this as a toiletry because it goes in the same bag), 'sanitary napkins' (ie pads/tampons), and anything you use on a daily or weekly basis.

    specific hotel/friends house differences?

hotels are the same as a friend's house usually, but you may want to bring like shower shoes or something. (eww, foot fungi. fungi, funny word. he he.) most hotels will supply you with crappy and expensive toiletries if you forget and can't make it to the store. other than that, have fun in canada! I'll be there for a family reunion then too.

  6. Hand sanitizer.. definitely.

  7. A spray cleaner (like Lysol 4-in-1 or Cinch etc. ).  The first thing you want to do clean the room.....seriously.   Clean the phone, the door handles, anything you will be touching.  Then clean the bathroom.  Spray down and wipe off the shower, the sink, and the toilet and floor.  Even in the best hotels.  Also, bring your own plastic cups.  Never use the glasses they leave in the room, unless you bring your own dish detergent and wash them yourself before using them.
