  1. I'm no earthquake scientist, but here's what I would do:

    - If I was in the shower I would get out immediately and seek shelter somewhere else. I would forget about the last "rinse and repeat" and go take cover.

-If I was on the freeway I would NOT get out of my car! I would pull over to the side of the road, and use my cell phone to signal where I am and what is happening.

There is a very low percentage that either of these things will happen, but you are  correct in saying that it is always good to be prepared! Good Luck!

  2. Please refer the answer given to the previous question.

  3. My wife was driving (not on a freeway) when the Loma Prieta earthquake happened. Her first impression was that she had a flat tire. So she pulled into a convenient parking lot. Another woman also pulled in, thinking the same thing. When they had compared notes, they realized that (a) there had been an earthquake and (b) it was over.

If I were in a shower, I'd grab something solid and hold on.

  4. If you're on the freeway, I suggest pulling over to the side of the road so you're not hitting oncoming traffic by swerving out of panic or having someone crash into you.. Unless you're near large rock cuts or mountains.. Then it's a bad idea.

If you're in the shower, probably turning off the water and laying in the bathtub may be the best idea.. Unless there is a table near... Crawl under it, cover your head and stay under until it's over. You can also research some safety precautions online. Just go to Google! (:

  5. if i was in the shower i would get out and find the nearest cover

on the freeway i would probably get off the offramp quickly and go find a empty lot or park in the middle of a big street...and if it were on a freeway connector(like one of those big ones that are like hundreds of feet off the ground) i would just pray that the earthquake wont be that strong
