What should you do if a small craft capsizes in a stream?

im taking that new required boaters test online, and im really stuck on this question.

they dont have anything written about it on the website and i cant find it anywhere.

With life jacket on help others don't fight the currant swim towards shore or if boat floats ride with it towards shore> If in open water stay with the boat>

Stay with the boat.

Answer 3

1) Check that your crew and yourself are ok

2) Swim to the back of the boat, check that the ruddar is still attached

3) Crew uncleets the jib sheet and throws over the side to helm

4) Crew turns boat head to wind

5) Helm pulls the jib sheet while pulling down on the daggerboard (as close to the boat as possible)

Boat is righted.

Crew gets in first then pulls up the helm
