  1. If you ever find an injured bird, do not just let it go. Keep it until it has healed or find someone else who is willing to care for it. Releasing a hurt bird puts it in a lot of danger.

If it was a banded pigeon, please try to catch it again and report the band number here: http://www.teranetsystems.com/911PAConta...

Pigeon-Talk is a wonderful forum. Joining it and posting your questions or concerns regarding pigeons and doves, is much better than posting it here. The people on that forum are very friendly and bird-savy.

If the bird isn't banded, then you won't be able to find its owner. However, you should still try to help it until it's healthy enough to let go. If it is a banded homing/racing pigeon, and the owner isn't found with the help of the 911 Pigeon Alert, then once released it should fly back to its original owner.

Good luck to both you, your boyfriend, and the pigeon! :)

  2. Feed it and keep it he/she likes you

  3. let's assume it is a pigeon and it has a band on its leg.  if so, websites below.

  4. Is the message for him? You should take it to an avian vet near you and have it checked out. Maybe put signs around saying you found a bird. If no one claims it take it to a SPCA or a bird sanctuary.
