I made some turkey patties (they came from frozen All Natural Jenny O), for myself and my 6 yr old. After I ate all of mine, I saw the half my daughter had not eaten, and noticed it was pink in the middle. What can I do if anything to help prevent her and myself from becoming ill?

  1. Pray...supposed to pray over your food anyways, so if ya did, you'll be covered! ( You did ask God to bess your food and help it be nourishing, didn't you?)

Geesh-guess none of ya pray before ya eat-hope those probiotics work for ya-can't even imagine trusting that stuff over God!

  2. If it wasn't slimey then it shouldn't hurt a thing. Most poultry has a slimey feel to the undercooked meat.

Next time make sure it is extremely well done. Should be cooked to about 180 F in the center with meat thermometer.

  3. Try taking some probiotic capsules.  I've heard that a good level of friendly bacteria in the gut fights off salmonella.

And maybe some oil of oregano?  It has antibacterial, antiviral properties.

And then if you do get sick, just make sure you're consuming lots of fluids.  And go to the doctor if it doesn't get better.

  4. eww salmonella.. i dont know, drink plenty of water i guess. frozen processed food is not good for your daughter, find the time to cook food from scratch.

  5. be sure to drink plenty of water and have something lighter for supper like soup so that you are not dehydrated if you do experience some diarrhea  -- good luck!

  6. No nothing really you can do!!

    Just wait to get sick!!

    Sorry!!
