  1. I would go to Florence.  it is an amazing city and was the heart of the Italian high renaissance in art.  check out the Academia where Michelangelo's David is.  the Ufitzi art museum, the ponte vecchio and the Boboli Gardens.  there are wonderful pieces of art all over that place.  you will want to see the Florence Duomo and go to the top of the dome if you can.  it is a beautiful view and has a rich, rich history.  travel to Siena and walk around that city.  it is very beautiful and where Crayola got the name of the color, Burnt Siena.  the tuscan trgion has the best wine in Italy, so keep that in mind if you are able.

you could see Pisa, but really there isn't much there except the tower and baptistry and Duomo and people trying to sell you cheap things that you probably don't want.

i noticed that some folks said to visit venice, sadly that is not in the tuscan region.  it is not far, however if you are willing to travel more.  if you do, stop by Padua and maybe stay there and tak the train to venice and get a hotel in padua (its much cheaper).

    Enjoy your trip.-Dr. Salil Pande

  2. go visit pisa and see the leaning tower, visit florence, the ponte vecchio, climb to the top of the duomo, visit the ufizi..it's about 3 hrs from tuscany to get to venice, 1 hr by fast train to rome!

  3. Go have a tour of a wine villa, how they make wine, I enjoyed. You will then do a wine tasting and eat some bread/cheese.

  4. go to visit Florence, Siena and Pisa and stay at the sea...

  5. Visit Frienze, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Volterra, Grosetto, Carrara, Arezzo, Prato, Pistoia, and take the ferry to Elba.  Tuscany is beautiful all over!
