  1. take the phone in hand and walk a small distance. then proceed to throw it at his face as hard as you can. then go get the manager.

  2. Tell him to call the boss, if there is no refund esp. after 8 months, I would let your boss handle those type anyways, that is why they are boss

  3. Refer the customer to your manager or supervisor. Tell him/her that you're sorry to hear that the phone doesn't work, but the manger will have to handle it. If you are the manager, explain that a refund isn't possible, but maybe you can exchange it for another phone (cheaper one)? Remember, the customer is king and you should do everything possible to keep their business as long as it doesn't violate company policy. Good luck.

  4. I'm assuming that the customer damaged his own phone due to negligence and wants to place the blame on somebody else.

You should always remain civil and polite even if the customer is irate. Doing so proves to other customers around you and your boss that you are the more educated and better person. If the customer wants to speak to the boss, then go ahead and politely refer him to the boss. Call him/her up and then let your boss deal with it. Under no circumstances should you resort to yelling and insulting.

If there truly was a manufacturer's defect in the phone, it would have shown itself in LESS than 8 months. For him to have the phone that long without problems proves that there are no defects. He was just negligent and wants someone to blame for his mistake.

  5. give him a Stone cold stunner. h**l yeah

  6. Just refer him to the management. It is not your job to try and appease a customer in this case.

  7. tell him that you are sorry he has problems with the phone , that you agree with him , yet there is nothing the company you work for can do for him . tell I'm you apologize and if there is anything you could do to help him you would. If he asks for a manager politely tell him that you'd be glad to get some assistance for him . Never be rude back . just remember don't get mad , its not your money hes out to get.

  8. let the manager take care of him

  9. Just tell him what your company policy is. Tell him you understand his frustration but you have to comply by the rules of you company. Tell him you will be happy to call a manager for him. Then just wash your hands of the situation. I don't know what people are thinking when they buy something ruin it themselves and think they can return it to get another one. Not  every place is like Walmart, because that is the only place I know that will take back damage merchandise months after it was purchased.

  10. Plan an answer any simple one and that will keep you busy while he has had his say

  11. I used to work customer service and though most of the customers were lovely, there were a few bad apples. If this man offended you this much, then when he comes back, don't wait on him. If there is someone else in the store, let them know you'd rather not deal with this person. Some people are just rude and make a big deal out of nothing. I learned they like the attention they get so that's why they make a fuss. Also it makes them feel big to go home with their chests out because they "told off the phone people".  This is the hardest part of customer service, dealing with the rude ones. They say the customer is always right. Ha, what a lie!
