What should you eat the morning before a triathlon?

The race starts at 8:30 am. How early should I get up and eat before it?

  1. energy bar or marathon bar. i know one in snickers and it is pretty good


  2. you need to eat wholesome, and slow release carbohydrate things.

    for your breakfast, you need to eat something like a bowl of oatmeal, a piece of wholemeal toast with something not fatty on, and a banana. you need to drink a lot, but if you dont eat the banana then, eat it about 40 minutes before you are set to swim. good luck - and dont over eat you will feel sick x

  5. if its a short one, normal fuel food that's easy to digest. ( i do porridge with honey and loads of caffeine)

    If its a long one (iron man etc) pasta and stuff for a longer burn.

    just make sure you eat early enough to digest before the swim. That usually means being up REALLY early, but hey! youre an athlete so it shouldn't be a problem on the day of the race.

    You should be finished eating by at least 1 -1,1/2 hrs before the swim

  7. You should wake up at 7:00 a.m. maybe shower, get dressed, pack your bike running shoes and baby powder, and then eat. Eat something with a lot of calories, calories meaning energy not fat. Something from the grains probably. Don`t eat too much or you`ll get a side ache swimming but make sure you eat enough or you won`t have the energy to finish.

            TIP

                Bring a small towel and put your shoes on the towel next to your bike so when you are done swimming you can dry your feet off and put your shoes on. And the baby powder is for your shoes. you can`t dry your feet completelyy, so the baby powder on the inside of your shoes will help your feet slide in. yes it is legal and it works. but make sure you do it before the race.
