  1. How old is it? This will change everything about when, what, and how much you feed it. If it's still really young, like, week old, then you feed it a formula from a pet store every 3 to 4 hours (sorry, I don't remember what the formula's called). For this type of thing, you're going to need oober amounts of research, like how to feed it, what type of bedding, warmth, etc. And if the parents abandoned it, chances are, there's something wrong with it. Not trying to sound cruel or anything, but it's a fact that is known to happen much to often.

If you really don't know how to take care of it  or don't have the time to, I'd suggest giving to someone who knows how or giving it to a pet store or shelter or aviary place or something.

Do the best you can for the little guy and yourself (don't put it's home in your room, it'll cry all night for you).

Best of luck for you both!

  2. How old? Is he feathered? If not feathered make sure you keep him warm by making a makeshift nest and putting himin nest and then in a box or aquarium with a heating pad set on low. Needs to be fed every 20 -30 mins from sun up to sun down. If no feathers need to feed handfeeding formula can get at petsotre. Ask clerk. I use kaytee handfeeding formula. If he has feathers. look up proper diet . I would pick up finch food at petstore and set in a shallow dish. watch to see if he eats on his own. If he is not feathered do not give water. If he is you can put down shallow little cap of water. even if he is eating on his own he may gape for you to feed him which you can do but not as often. You may want to call pet store and see if they have some foster parents they can put him in with. Good luck.
