Has someone ever done something that ment the world to you, and saying thank you didn't seem like enough? Well I had one of those experiences, and while I often don't have trouble finding the right things to say, I want to make sure that I don't miss even a single thing.

This is regarding a special someone who was able to organize paperwork in an office setting, and get the ball rolling as we say. Had it not been for that, I would have had an extrordinarily hard time jumping the wall. So please, as many hints, what to write etc. I want to make sure it sounds formal because it will go into his file.

Thanks

  1. Promotion???  Did this person receive a promotion from you because of this favor?  That is not clear.  A letter of thanks should be simple... like this:

    Dear [person]:

I would like to formally thank you for the hard work you put into organizing the office.  Your efforts were above and beyond the call of duty, and I wish to express my sincere appreciation for your extraordinary contribution.

    Sincerely,

    [your name]

    Have a polite day.
