  1. Be professional, Talk about how you will help them promote there products, what you can do for them not what they can do for you.

    Current results, achievements, etc.

    Your schedule for the year.

    What goals you have as a rider.

    If your a kid your good grades are a must.

Just do a letter to people you want to obtain sponsorship from that is much like a resume.  You need to tell them about yourself and your interests.  What you have achieved in the sport and what events you have entered.  State what you intend to enter in the future so they can see what they would get for their sponsorship.  

    All the sponsors really get is exposure for their money so they want someone who will be around racing and can have their name on the bikes and maybe the trailer and pit tent.  So they will want to know that they will be mentioned on the podium.

    State in your resume that you always do race reports and email them through after every race meet as they like to keep up with what their riders are doing.

    Attach a photo of yourself if you can as believe it or not if you are a resonable looking person as per usual in this world it helps (it shouldn't but it does).
