Looking for a little advice to get some pain medication for my brother who has no health insurance, I'm not looking for an answer like " you shouldn't do this" or along these lines. Just seeing if anyone has gotten pain meds in this way.

  1. i don't think that a doctor would just prescribe you pain pills without doing any testa or anything.  if you do this, you could mess up credibility with your doctor too.  he'd think you were an addict.

    and you probably are....

  2. If your brother is hurt.. it might be easiest to just pay for the Dr.s visit, since its hard work to fake an injury.  If you are dead set on doing this though, walk very slowly with a hunched back and say you hurt your lower backwhen you turned around to back out of the drive way or when you bent down to pick up a box, use common sense and really stick with your story. the pain has to REALLY look real.

Now if you are only looking for narcotic pain pills, then im sure you are an addict, but the secret to this would be to have an ulcer, that way they would be less likely to give you an nsaid and tylenol isnt strong enough for serious back pain.   That is the fool proof way, but if you go to the dr regularly, he would know about your ulcer.

  3. Tell him you had a "Laminectomy" years ago and its hurting again ( it always hurt a little). and you already took 10 aspirin that didn't help. You'll probably get a shot of Demerol to boot. And have someone drive you there and help you walk in.

  4. One of my friend asked me a  similiar question before,we found helpful luck here.http://heath-insurance.tips-free.info/he...

  5. Tell your doctor that you are always in pain because you sleep wrong, you got in a fight lol, your working out, etc.

  6. it depends what kind of pain medicine you are looking for? doctors will prescribe different pain killers for different types of pain. tell them you hurt your back and can hardly walk - but you have to fake it pretty well - I'm not sure if you'll get Vicodin or Percocet out of it, but it's worth a shot!
