I just never know if there is a certain amount or not? I know I get charged for delivery and after that and a tip, I sometimes could have bought a meal at a 4 star restaurant, you know? what is a proper amount to give as a tip to a pizza guy/girl?

  1. i tip 2-4 dollars

  2. yes when they are nice

  3. I usually tip around $2-$3 for a $20-$25 order.  If I'd have to pay more than I'd rather eat out!

  4. Wow g/f.  Have you considered anger management?  Why did you take that ladies answer so personally.  She was just offering her opinion.

  5. Wow, a little angry. That's not nice.

Give the dude 20%, simple as that.

  6. With drivers they do make a real wage too and some get paid mileage as well.  I'd say 10-15%.

  7. If you do not want to shop for, prep, cook, and serve a meal, you should be willing to tip 15-20% of the the purchase amount.

Otherwise I agree with Mrs. Mad Maddy.

    Tip appropriately, always.

  8. wow, I  would NOT pay 5.00 for a tip! thats ridiculous! I mean, they get paid don't thay, why dont they go to school and get a better job if they want money!? why do we have to pay out of our pockets for them?

  9. At least five bucks, they are paying for wear and tear on their car plus gas which is horrible right now. They get harrassed all the time. Do not order if you can't tip....

  10. I tip $2.00 or $3.00 if we're order a pizza and the total is around $20.00 ... but if they are late (or forgot about my order then make the pizza and come after I've called to check up on my order), I might take it out on the driver by only tipping $1.00.

  11. At least 15% but never less than 2 bucks.

  12. I dealt with this issue for a while and came up with a decent way to determine the tip amount.

I tip a dollar for each pizza box, and half a dollar for each smaller item, i.e. a box of wings, cheese/breadsticks, soda bottles.  If I only order one pizza then I tip a minimum of the cost of a gallon of gasoline (rounded to the nearest quarter).  If the food arrives in less time then they quoted on the phone then I'll tip the full amount, and sometimes a little more if they have to climb many stairs, for example.  If the food is later than the quoted time then I start deducting off the tip.  I used to work as a delivery driver and MOST of the time when your food is late it is because the driver will try to take too many deliveries at one time, which most managers tell them not to do.....other times it is because they are just busy, short-handed, you live a far distance from their store, traffic, and/or they had a difficult time finding your address.

BTW, the delivery driver does not get the money the pizza place charges you for the delivery.

  13. two hunderd dollars

  14. 15% of the order

  15. I usually always tip $3 no matter what the order costs..but then again I'm a college student so that's about all I can afford lol.
