  1. The key foods to stay away from are:

    Mackerel:

Mackerel can contain high levels of mercury which can be harmful to your unborn baby. Shark, tuna and swordfish should be avoided for the same reason.

    Liver:

Liver and liver products contain very high levels of vitamin A which research has shown can cause birth defects. Any supplements with high levels of vitamin A should not be taken during pregnancy.

Soft, mould-ripened and blue veined cheese:

Cheeses such as Brie, Stilton and Camembert should be avoided because they can contain the potentially poisonous listeria bug.

    Anything unpasteurized:

Unpasteurized eggs, milk, cheese and vegetables can lead to toxoplasmosis - an infection caused by a microscopic parasite that can live inside the cells of humans and animals, especially cats and farm animals.

Underdone or lightly cooked eggs, meat or poultry:

Raw or uncooked eggs, meat and poultry can contain a variety of bugs that could seriously harm your unborn baby.

Good luck with your pregnancy x

  2. Everything that Katyanne said plus cold cooked chicken and soft serve should be avoided.  Unborn children can not fight the bacteria in these products.  If you end up with indigestion later on in pregnancy drink a glass of milk to ease it.

  3. definately avoid hot dogs and undercooked meat!

  4. Avoid any junk or processed foods, if u drink alot of caffine, then cut down on that, and avoid alcohol at all costs, it can melt your baby's brain.  Well balanced diet is best.

  5. you do need to keep yourself eat much better healthy foods, fruits are there and much better eat some veggies. Drink  a glass of Soya milk it is healthy.

  6. Shell fish and deep sea fish coz of the high mercury levels contained in them.  Cold meats like ham, salami coz of the bacteria in them, spicy food with too much chilli just to name a few.  Hope it helps.  Cheers
