I've been sick for about two weeks now. The first few days were simple cold/flu symptoms (weird during the summer). Then i thought I was getting better and my hearing started to muffle. Now I have a huge coughing fit at least once in the morning, my hearing gets more muffled every day, and i have a lot of mucus backed up in my nose which makes me constantly sniffle. HELP ME!!!!! =(

  4. Since more then 5 days has lasp it is time to see a doctor. Before you develope pneumonia.

  5. It sounds as though you have a virus, which can infect you during any season, not just winter. The exact type of virus is irrelevant, but there exist many different kinds which all cause the same flu/cold-like symptoms.

The coughing can be explained by a post-nasal drip. If you have a runny nose, mucus can run to the back of your through, causing the irritation and coughing. The hearing issues can be explained by the mucus building up in your inner ear, caused by the same virus that's giving you the other symptoms.

Many people don't realise that your sinuses and inner ears are connected via a passage called the eustachian tube. Therefore, infections easily spread to the ear.

There is still no cure for a virus, so just keep it easy and it should pass in no time. Drink a lot of water, as you tend to breathe through your mouth when your nose is blocked, which increases your water needs. If you're concerned, see a doctor.
