What side dished with Stuffed Bell Peppers?

I am stuffing green bell peppers with a Turmeric Rice and Ground Beef and Sausage what side dishes would you serve/

Crusty Italian bread to scoop up the extras and soak up the yummy juices. And a cold mild salad of either sliced tomato and fresh mozzarella or corn with chickpeas and drizzle some oil and vinegar on either.

Maybe honeyed carrots? 1tbs of honey to one can or four carrots chopped with a little pepper. Or go with a cold side of salad with salt and pepper oil and red wine vinegar. Nice and simple and filling.

Since you already have everything in the stuffed pepper (meat, rice and veg) you could serve a nice crusty bread or roll and some fresh fruit.

A Salad from Turkey sounds good, this is a favorite, and maybe toasted pita on the side:

3 large ripe tomatoes -- 1 inch thick

1 large onion -- sliced fine

1 large cucumber -- cut lengthwise

2 tsp salt

Lemon Dressing

1/4 cup olive oil

5 TBS lemon juice

1/2 cup parsley -- chopped

OR Vinegar Dressing

1/2 cup olive oil

1/2 cup vinegar

1/2 cup parsley

salt/pepper to taste

wash, skin and seed tomatoes cut in cubes. Seed cuke and cut in

matching cubes. Slice onion thinly , sprinkle with salt, rub it in,

rinse and squeeze dry.

Use with EITHER the lemon juice or vinegar dressing

I usually serve Coleslaw or a tossed salad..just don't make the Coleslaw too sweet.If they are in season in your area We also like sliced melons especially Cantaloupe.

I like brown rice made with chicken stock and not the water. I also add diced red peppers. some diced onions, diced mushrooms and I cook the rice the same as always just add the veg, while the stock is boiling.
