  1. On the left!

  2. They drive on the Left Side of the road.

  3. We drive on the left hand side

  4. They drive on the left, the same as England because Ireland was under British rule for many years

  5. Both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland drive on the left side of the road, with traffic signs and rules much the same as in Britain.  On motorways (freeways) the far left is the slow lane; the inside (right) lane is passing, mirror opposite to their American counterparts.  If you've never driven on the left side of the road before, or have never driven in any European country, beware driving in larger cities like Dublin--it can be quite tricky.  Even in rural areas you do need to be careful--you'll often find some hotshot zipping down a narrow country road with barely enough room to pass you, or none!  You'll also find frequent traffic circles, among other things... but I otherwise found driving in Ireland and Northern Ireland to be both easy, and enjoyable.  Directional signs aren't too difficult to follow, and by driving you open up at lot more destinations for visiting that you might otherwise get to see.  One other thing... be sure that you know how to drive stick (manual transmission), AND know how to drive it well.  Most cars in Europe are sticks, and in the UK/Ireland the driver's side is on the RIGHT side of the car, not the left; which means the stick is in your left hand.  Fortunately, all the pedals are in the right order... but it's a bit disconcerting at first to be driving a stick on the right side of the car, on the left side of the road.  A few hours of practice and you'll be comfortable with it, though... and as I said before, it's fun!  :)

  6. Left (Well they're supposed to)

  7. both sides!!!   hah we drive on the left....and to all the smart alec's out there.....we are good at driving its just our roads are small and we have no choice but to drive in the middle....compared to amercian roads...they are HUGE

  8. They drive on the left side of the road in Ireland.  (And not very well, I'm sorry to say.)

  9. Depends if they are going out or going home..

  10. The answer, everywhere, is... the *right* side.  Otherwise you will be on the *wrong* side, and accidents might happen as a result.

  11. opposite the american way

  12. Left side of the road on the right side of the car/bus/truck.

  13. Are they drunk or sober??

  14. the exact opposite of American way

  15. The steering wheels in Irish cars are on the right side.

Irish people usually drive in the middle of the road 'cause there is very little traffic. But for passing they pull over to the left.

Irish driver's are very courtous on the road. It is rare to hear horns being blown, and if so it will probably be one of the massive influx of 'outsiders' including I regret to say visitors
