There have been found gigantic rocks that were once carried by glaciers from place to place. These are called erratics and are evidence of glaciers in the past.

How about the Great Lakes???? they were all carved out by glaciers and filled with water from the glaciers melting. How about the sand dunes along Lake Michigan that were formed by glaciers pushing on the sand lifting it upward. If you read this PDF article, it will tell you a lot about formation, artifacts of their passing.

These striations in the rock were formed by glaciers passing over them ginding the rock for several hundreds of yards in the same direction. You can see in what direction the glaciers moved . Look at the ground tour and pay attention to the photos after the boat.
