I'm more interested in why you want to reduce the grand objective of physics to the understanding of the universe to a single word.  Is it really necessary to do that.  I'm going to give you two different words, and you can consider them individually or together as you wish.  By the way, these two words "perfection" and "uncertainty" do not have to in any way be contradictory.
