What site can I use to create my own Travel blog?

Question

I wish to keep my friends and family updated on my travels around the world usings text, pictures and youtube videos. I've seen travellog.com and didn't like it there must to more...

Try http://www.tripadvisor.com/.  You can make a travel map, list out your stops in advance, and write a blog along the way.  It takes a bit to set up but then is easy to use.

There's a pretty good review of some of the best travel blogging systems available at izunotravel (http://www.izunotravel.com/Customs/trave... to be precise). It really depends on what you prioritize most which you would choose, but there's a useful graph there highlighting which system is better for what. I don't think he mentions youtube videos there, but most of the better systems allow for video uploads in some way through their own system or something similar. Travellerspoint offers the option to embed youtube videos as well as vids from a few other popular video sites. If you want something with a lot of plugins that is not so much/at all travel focused you should consider wordpress instead of blogger/blogspot in my opinion. There's way more possibilities.

I use Blogspot, which is a generic blog but it works great for travel.
