not live but they were probably referring to maps.google.com. it's pretty amazing!

There are no sites where you can see a live feed of your street. That would probably only be available to military or nasa or higher gov't. If there is such a site it probably costs a pretty penny

Call up Google, then select Maps, type in your whole street address in the search bar. Then when it loads, click on the little pic that says "street view". Mine actually came up as next door's house, so I just orientated with the arrows on the pic and up came a very clear picture of my home. You can then click on "send" to email the link to other people. It's really cool!

**I don't know of any sites that you can see live via satellite but if you look at google earth you can see your own street ... you'll probably find that the pictures are a few years old though.**
