  1. The only story of a shoemaker by Charles Dickens which I know can be found in A Tale of Two Cities. Dr. Manette became a shoemaker while languishing in prison all those years. You can read what he says here http://www.online-literature.com/dickens... - it's his testimony which he wrote while in jail that was presented before the French tribunal to help convict Charles Darnay.

    If this is what you mean, I'm not sure about the gimmick you can use. Perhaps you could present the shadow of a guillotine to represent why this record was read in the court. Dr. Manette also had a shoemaker's bench and old-fashioned tools of the trade.

    If this isn't what you mean, could you explain a bit more?
