What site is the best way to...?

Question

I would like to learn how to knit and I am wondering if there are any really good websites that teach you how to knit. I would like to learn as for I want to make things like cloths for my dogs, Blankets, and scarfs. I also would like to know if knitting is harder or easier to learn then crocheting. I mainly want to learn because I would like to make things for my family and my friend who is like my sister.

I find knitting easier, some people think crochet easier.  I've been doing both for over 20 years and made hundreds of things with each method but every time I go back to crocheting, I have to read up on my stitches all over again.    It does come back quickly, but I never have to do that with knitting.  So it's just personal preference.  

Crochet works up faster, but the finished product is never as nice as knitted.

A great site for learning how to knit is www.knittinghelp.com  There are videos of each stitch and numerous ways to accomplish some stitches.  You can watch all of them and decide which method is easier for you.

I think knitting is easier to learn, but I like crocheting much more. It is not that much more difficult to learn to crochet and I like the finished products better. Knitting all looks the same to me whereas the options in the final look of a project are much more diverse.
