  1. The most upsetting situation for me,  is being stood up by a date. It means that I am ugly, undesirable,  and insignificant being that my  date is not even  interested to show up nor bothered to explain the situation. No amount of excuses would  explain why he is not able to call  in  this hi-tech gadget world.

If my boss would yell at me in front of everyone, Ill just smile and think he is yelling at me because he is  secretly jealous of my youth and  charms. I would forgive my boss for  his temper knowing that he  is experiencing mid-life crisis, impotency problem and other things.

Missing a flight  can be avoided. No way would I miss my flight. I would be at the airport a   day  before my flight.

  2. none of the above...one can still go on living and hope on for another better...even if it's the end of this world

  3. Yelled at by the boss because you have to interact with everybody everyday (not necessarily because you can quit but???) compared to the other 2 which can only happen once in a while

  4. most upsetting me for would be being yelled at by my boss because it is morally damaging and could potentially harm my relationship with my boss

  5. zzz... missing flight.. imagine you have to swim across from one country to another. hmmm... beer... zzz...

  6. Being yelled at by the boss in front of everyone.  Nothing can top the shame you experience when you are degraded in such a way.  Too demoralizing and if you can only ask the heavens to open up and vanish you from where you stood, then, you would beg for it to do at that moment of indignity.

  7. in order of most upsetting to me

    1. getting yelled at by boss

    2.missing flight

    3.stood up

  8. I know first hand it is more expensive to miss a flight...my own fault...not the airlines.

  9. Yelled at.   Especially when you follow your boss afterwards at the men's room,  and with his back at you,  you hit him with an iron bar.

That got my lawyer busy.  Very busy, indeed.

  10. Being yelled at by my boss especially one that I absolutely look up to. It's quite easy to find a new date and there are a lot of single bars. A next flight is surely on the way and who knows, the the delay may be a blessing in disguise. But being yelled at (and more so if I am not at fault) would be a point against my dignity and the respect people have for me. That is more bitter to swallow.

  11. missing flight

  12. being yelled then fired!!!!!!!!

  13. missing a flight definitely beats getting stood up. if i got stood up, then i'd have a talk with my friend, and that's it. it'll die down.   but missing a flight would suck. imagine all the preparation you went through (filing your leave, etc,).  just losing hours of your vacation time is upsetting. imagine if your still in the airport waiting, when you could already be at your destination. that's one day off your vacation, another day off your hotel booking, etc. missing your flight could potentially ruin your whole itinerary.

and getting yelled at by the boss over a minor thing is no biggie. obviously the boss is stressed and a stressed boss gets upset over anything no matter how trivial. and it's the boss who will look like a fool and get talked about in the end.

it's another thing though if you made a major mistake by not doing your job properly. and you could end up losing the job. now THAT would be upsetting.

  14. being stood up or missing flight only i would know but being yelled at everybody knows so thats most upsetting.
